It was a few months ago, but the memory hasn't faded. You did and outstanding job preparing and serving the dinner for Roger's 60th birthday celebration. The 60th being a unique "passage", and since we had a very select group of friends attending, we wanted a truly special dinner experience. You did not disappoint. The dinner you prepared was gourmet indeed. You served with great flair and our daughter, who agreed to help out, really enjoyed working with you. Everyone helping Roger get over his gateway to the 7th decade of his life were effuse in praise of the meal they enjoyed. I want to add my recommendation to the many who have had the good fortune to have eaten a meal prepared by Chef Tyler Stone. My husband and I were invited to a special dinner prepared by Chef Tyler in 2006. Tyler was still in high school and we were not sure what to expect. What a wonderful surprise we encountered. This young man, who is charming and conversational, prepared a scrumptious meal. It was balanced, well prepared, beautifully presented and delicious. I was recently treated to a breakfast also prepared by Chef Tyler. And again it was beautifully prepared and presented and absolutely delicious. He is a wonder. He practices his craft daily, teaches cooking, has now completed a cook book, and caters meals for many. Through a connection with the Junior Achievement, Chef Tyler Stone visited students at Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville, CA, on May 19, 2010. Career Technical Education (CTE) teachers invited students to two presentations by Chef Tyler. After a brief introduction, Chef Tyler connected with the students by asking about their passions and career goals. He identified with their aspirations and explained that an individual person doesn't have all the knowledge or answers but should not let that stand in the way of following their passion. Tyler encouraged the students to ask questions, do research, and use the knowledge and talents of others. His message to the students and inspiration to follow their passion was delivered through personal anecdotes, experiences, and demonstration. In addition, students learned about preparing and artfully displaying food while learning about Chef Tyler's pathway to success. Students were thrilled to listen, participate, and learn from Chef Tyler and left the presentation inspired to use their talents to follow their passion.
